Taca Airlines flies directly into La Ceiba's Airport, the Aeropuerto
Internacional Goloson, 10 km west of La Ceiba along the highway to
Tela. There are also connecting flights to La Ceiba from Tegucigalpa,
San Pedro and the Bay Islands. Atlantic and Isleňia Airlines
have weekly flights from Cayman Islands to La Ceiba.
You may also be traveling by bus to La Ceiba. There are a number of
different bus companies with service here. You will arrive at the
Mercado San Jose bus terminal, 2 km west of the city centre. Or if
you opt to travel in more comfort you will arrive at either, Hedman
Alas bus terminal, by Ceibeňo #4 or the Viana bus stop at the
Esso station.
Alternatively, you may be on your way back from The Bay Island's two
most popular diving spots Utila and Roatan by ferry. The ferries are
very nice and have several sailings each way per day. The ferry terminal,
Muelle Cabotaje, is located 8km east of town. Hoards of taxis await
the arrival of the boats so getting into town is quite cheap and easy.
If you wish however we can arrange to pick you up. The early boats
from Utila and Roatan get here on time for our scheduled daily morning
departure for or rafting and or hiking tours at 8 o' clock.
Regardless of how you arrive at La Ceiba we can suggest the following options once you have arrived….
Arrange transportation with us. This is perhaps the easiest and most hassle-free option. We will happily pick you up from the airport, Muelle Cabotaje or any of the bus terminals and transport you directly to our Banana Republic Guesthouse in La Ceiba or the Jungle River Lodge on Rio Cangrejal.

Your other option is to take a regular taxi to our Banana Republic Guesthouse or the Jungle River Lodge.

In most cases we suggest that you come directly to the Banana Republic
Guesthouse as transportation to our Lodge is included in price of
our tours with exception of the Canopy Zipline. However, if you
wish to organize your own transportation to the Jungle River Lodge
simply follow these instructions.
From La Ceiba follow the main highway east to Trujillo. The highway
will cross Rio Cangrejal on Puente Saopin. Directly after the bridge
take your first right, this is the road marked to Yaruca. Follow
this road for 7km until you come to Jungle River Lodge marked by
our bamboo-like fence on the left-hand or riverside of the road.
You will pass a sign marked Los Lobos Balneario, Jungle River Lodge
is situated about 5 minutes drive past this marker
