20 minutes east of La Ceiba we start our guided hike at a huge tree followed by an easy hike along a narrow pathway until we reach an unmarked turn off to the Rio Maria waterfalls and our secret bathing spot.
Discover the pristine rock pools, where you can swim and play in the fresh and crystal clear waters or try out the 18 foot natural slides, all enclosed in lush jungle with hanging vines and dense foliage.... Paradise.
Enjoy the natural massage of the falls, relax on the rocks and then hike back down the river but this time along the rivers sculpted boulders and cascading pools. |
